The Great Horcrux Hunt

After lunch yesterday, Pets and I went to Fully Booked High Street for the Great Horcrux Hunt.

It was a Harry Potter Trivia Game slash scavenger hunt and it was awesome! I didn't play though, but I had such an incredible time seeing so many Potterheads in one place, and answering all the questions! :)

One thing I loved was seeing everyone's Potter get-ups. This lady was dressed as Sybill Trelawney's cousin!

I really didn't want the day to end! Today Pottermore goes online, JK Rowling celebrates her birthday, and also, the boy who lived lives a year longer. Happy Birthday, Harry! :)

Hope everyone's having a great weekend! xo

Morning Benders

Good night, earth :) I love you.

Ellen Adarna

Did this shoot for http://caravanph.com :) Caravan's stuff are nothing short of awesome. This was a super shoot! I was with absolutely brilliant people. And of course, I love the beach.

For this set, I got to photograph the absolutely gorgeous Ellen Adarna, who is incidentally on this year's FHM 100 sexiest (top 10, in fact). She's such a nice, down-to-earth, goofy person. No diva in this cebuana! So happy I got to take her photos! And yep, she did her own make-up, too :) Package deal model!

And yep, I know I haven't been updating my blog lately. I was too busy with things like.. Harry Potter! Haha (I was bawling in the cinema). But seriously. I promise to start updating this thing again. Next week, I'll be covering the State of the Nation Address, and another Azkals game versus Kuwait! Hope everyone's been having a great week. Love and Light, Han xo

FIFA Qualifiers Coverage Outtakes

Azkals coverage today! It was rather intense. My equipment was super heavy (2 big white lenses, one wide lens, a laptop, two camera bodies, a stool, a monopod, raincoat for self, bag and cameras, and some cords) and I had to lug it around the field. Some bouncers and one of the kuyas insisted on carrying my stuff for me (it's a man's world, photojournalism--see second photo from below) but I really wanted to prove to myself that I could do it on my own.

On top of that it was the first time I ever used a lens as big as this (see last photo, hat was taken on the day before the game), so coping was NOT an easy task. AND on top of THAT, it rained like CRAZY in the first half so I was preoccupied trying to protect my laptop, 3 lenses and two cameras. Luckily, my office was prepared for rain. And I had to shoot while I was getting wet! So far this has got to be one of the most difficult shoots ever, and I now have a newfound respect for sports photographers! I had no idea what I was doing. It was like playing Where's Waldo, since the space was so big! Amid all the pressure and stress though, I gotta say I had fun. The game was beautiful! And the Azkals..were beautiful, too! Haha. Oh and please don't steal these photos! :)

**Please note also that these are the outtakes! I'm only allowed to post rejects :(
