I saw these photos as I was looking through old posts on my tumblr to see what I'd like to move to this new blog.. It's quite silly, the things I get myself into.. I just want to be able to do everything! And I know that's wrong and impossible.

It's strange to find yourself one day just awkwardly grown up, and at the end of the day, I wonder what I'm turning into. Glamorously hardcore??? Let's see how long I can keep up trying to be both. Haha.

Anyway, I'm blogging from tumblr to here cause it's easier. Tumblr is so follower-oriented and I kind of want to start keeping my journal for myself without thinking of followers. I'll probably post one photo entries there from now on, but otherwise, I'm blogging here. :)  So here is my first 'new' entry in this blog that has not been copy-pasted from tumblr!

Today was a great day for hanging out with animals! :) 

I saw animals who lived to pose and be fierce (I seriously think they know how to vogue!)

Then there was this owl with yellow eyes

And this tiny, tiny primate

And noisy sheep

I got to carry this heavy yellow snake... 

...and look! I even got to hold hands with Collin the Orangutan!

What a great break from hell week.

I’ve been away in tumblr lately cause I’m almost graduating from the magical campus of the University of the Philippines Diliman! School has been insane but life has still been a series of good adventure.

For the fourth year in a row, I went to the hot air balloon fest in Pampanga and as usual, amid the lack of sleep, seeing the balloons take off reminded me to follow my dreams! Haha I know that’s cheesy but it’s a constant struggle to believe in yourself.

Also, I modeled (!) for my friend Nicole Aquino for Rockwell’s Brasilipinas, and I have to say that that was a different experience altogether. Walking in heels was crazy, and I am not used at all to glamour.

Then I got to meet the President, because of photography! Malacanang Palace commissioned photojournalists for a Noynoy book and my photos were among those selected. I have a two page spread all to myself (!). I’m pretty giddy about that, because things like that don’t happen everyday, to every photojournalist. I have a lot to be thankful for, cause I’ve been so lucky! For a change the photographers were VIP. The photos show me and the Chief photographers of European Pressphoto Agency, Agence France-Presse, Reuters and the Associated Press. Just a few of my personal heroes, whose photos appear regularly in the NY Times and Time magazine.

Finally, I’m featured in the Philippine Star’s Fresh Produce, and that last photo was taken by the very talented Gabby Cantero. The article is available online. I don’t usually know how to react to features, but I guess it’s still worth mentioning, because things like that remind me that I may actually be going on the right track even if it’s absolutely terrifying. I get scared pretty often about the future and the path that I’m treading, but meeting other people taking the road not taken excites me. I’m not alone after all! I’m going to continue doing what I love for sure :)
